Role: Right Handed Lower
Order Batsman and Slow Left Arm Bowler
Nickname: Chilli
Barbarians No: 21
Chilli is very talented all round cricketer who has become a vital member of our first eleven and in 2013 he makes the step up to become Danny Hawes' assistant as first eleven vice-captain.
He is clever and canny slow left
arm bowler who has excellent control of flight and spin. He often performs a
holding role with the ball giving very little away.
He is also a more than capable
lower order batsman who has got valuable and match winning runs down the order.
As a fielder, he is brilliant at gully.
He had a brilliant 2012 season claiming 34 victims and bowling an incredible 49 maidens in 182 overs. He rightly was named first eleven player and bowler of the year for his outstanding performances.
He started off as a colt at
Harrow CC before joining the Borough aged 10. He was a leading player in our
junior sides captaining the U15s and U17s.
His finest performance for the
Borough was in September 2009 with our second eleven needing a win to avoid
relegation. A jet lagged Chilli took 5-15 with the ball as we bowled North Middlesex out for 188 and then he went out and
scored his highest score of 80 to see the Borough home.
