    Ed is a former Second Team captain and current club treasurer who has been at the club for over 10 years now after moving down from Yorkshire. He is a very popular member of the Borough and a big character on the field and in the bar.

    In recent seasons Ed has dropped down into the middle order after spending the majority of his early Bessborough career as an opening batsman, although he still bats at the top of the order in Twenty20 cricket. He is an excellent accumulator of runs. Ed is very comfortable against spin bowling in which he loves to sweep and use his feet.

    Ed is also a more than handy leg break bowler who has picked up many wickets in his career including a 7-80 against South Hampstead a few seasons ago. What Ed lacks in control he makes up with the amount of turn he gets.
