Wardy is as much improved middle order batsman for our Saturday third and
fourth eleven and is also a useful slow-medium bowler. Wardy joined the club in
2007 after moving to London from
the North East and he immediately set about making himself a vital member of
the Borough.
Nobody works harder than Wardy in the nets all year round to improve his
game and he has come on leaps and bounds in recent seasons. He is a tall man
who is not afraid to give the ball a wack.
Also Wardy has taken on the role of club secretary in recent seasons and he
is the leading man in driving the club on to bigger and better things off the
field. He also loves a pint and can often be found propping up the bar into the
early hours.
