Stephen Kimsey profile

  • Role: Right Arm Medium Pace Bowler
    Nickname: Junior
    Barbarians No: 19

Steve joined the Borough in 2010 after playing against us for wandering side Paddington. He had just moved to the area and wanted to play some regular and competitive cricket.

He is an up and coming bowler who bowls at no more than medium pace. He likes to bowl wicket to wicket with the keeper standing up. His style of bowling has proved very useful in the middle overs of a Twenty20 game.

In 2013 he picked up 23 wickets which his best return for the Borough. He also picked up the Third Eleven Player of the Year for his outstanding performances under Nathan Theebaraj.

He continued his form into 2014 picking up 21 wickets with a best performance of 5-41 against North London for our fourth eleven.

He is no mug with the bat but generally finds himself batting 9, 10 or jack but he is capable of hitting a long ball.

He is also a decent outfielder with a good pair of hands.
