FANTASY CRICKET 2016 - NOW OPEN

Bessborough CC Fantasy Cricket for 2016 is now available. Press Officer and Swashbuckling batsman Simon Heaney is once again running this season's competition. Club legend Duncan West kindly sponsored the Fantasy League in 2015 and he has now passed the sponsorship baton onto Third Team Captain Ian Ridley who's company Ed's Party Pieces will be the new competition sponsor.

If you entered last season's competition the login and password will be the same as before. The entry costs the same as last year which is £10 for adults and £5 for under 18s. If players want to be eligible for the prizes they must pay before the end of April. Cash and cheques must be given to Simon Heaney while you can also transfer the money to the club bank account and include the reference 'FANT'.

The prize money will be the same as the 2015 competition. There will be monthly prizes of £10 tokens to be sent over the bar while the annual prize will be £100 for our winner and £50 for our runner-up.There have been a few rules changes from last season, so please take a look at the rules when selecting your line-up. Anybody can enter, so please pass onto both family and friends and get them involved.

Fantasy League rules:
- There can be only one team entered per registered user.
- Each team shall have a value of no more than £55 million.
- Points will be updated on a weekly basis throughout the season.
- You can make 1 free transfer each week. Additional transfers can be made at a cost of 10 points each. Please 
   note that transfers are free and unlimited up until the first game has been played
- Each team must select a captain who will earn double points each week. You may change your captain each 
   week if you wish. 
- Every team must contain - 4 x batters, 4 x bowlers, 2 x all rounders and 1 x wicket keeper.

10 points for a not out
20 points for scoring 50+ runs
40 points for scoring 100+ runs
-20 points for scoring a duck

Bowling
15 points per wicket taken
30 points for taking 5+ wickets
3 points per maiden
-20 points for conceding 50+ runs (for 0 wkts)

Fielding
10 points per catch
15 points per stumping
20 points per run out
