NEXT WEEK AT THE BOROUGH
By Alex Irani

Afternoon all,

A couple of dates for your diary in the next week

FAREWELL IB
As some of you know Ian has taken the decision to make this season his final playing for Bessborough as the strains of working and living in Welwyn were taking his toll on his ageing body so he has made the tough decision, after 25 years, to bid farewell. Obviously we could not allow him to leave without a typical Borough smash up and this will be occurring after we (hopefully) pull off our annual houdini act on Saturday evening. Harris has kindly offered to source some food for us at a cost of £5 per head so please let him know if you so wish to eat so he can sort numbers (07446 449666). Desai has also requested that people come in attire which is fitting for a night out after the knees up (if you so wish)

Just confirm the exact details:
Date: Saturday 2nd September
Venue: Clubhouse
Time: 6.30pm onwards (Or earlier if you fancy watching the first XI)
Food: £5 per head (Message Harris 07446 449666 if you wish to eat)
Attire: Suitable for a night out
AOB: Bring plenty of cash, no credit over the bar!

CLUB MEMBERS MEETING
Conscious that we have not had a committee meeting, a summer meeting or any type of members meeting for a long while so we have made the decision to hold something hot on the heels of the cricket season whilst everyone still has the club at the forefront of their thoughts. The meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday 5th September to discuss the current state of the club, what is in the pipeline and what we can do in the future. It is imperative as many members turn up as possible to help drive the club forward which is not the responsibility of a select few members so please can we all make a concerted effort to attend.

Details:
Date: Tuesday 5th September
Venue: Clubhouse
Time: 7.30pm for an 8pm start
