AWARDS WINNERS 2010
By James Wheeler
Ian Barrie was the big winner of the night as we held our 2010 awards night in December at our Headstone Manor clubhouse. The first eleven all-rounder picked up player of the year for both the Saturday and Sunday first elevens after being presented the awards by club captain Sherrick Chavda.
Batsman Sanil Shah picked up the second eleven award from captain Richard Edmands. Shah starred with bat and in the field in his first season at that level and was a worthy winner.
Other notable winners were Daminda Kolugala, who was named third eleven player of the year, Danny Hawes was named batsman of the year and Gary Linton Walls was named bowler of the year.
The committee would like to thank Ian Barrie and the awards night committee for putting on an excellent night.
