Bessborough U17 v Ickenham (20 overs)
Bessborough won by 10 wickets
22/6/2012

Bessborough under-17s made easy work of Ickenham on Friday (22 June), winning by 10 wickets.

Having elected to field first on a slow damp wicket, medium pacer Prasann Sumaria was the hero with ball taking 4 for 8 in three overs as Ickenham collapsed to 49 all out in 12 overs. The other wicket takers were Saahil Vora (1-5); Ashil Shah (1-10) and Shivam Patel (1-22).

In reply, Bessborough’s make-shift openers Rajan Modha (20 not out) and Vivek Patel (24no) never looked in danger and saw the team home in just six overs.

The victory keeps Bessborough at the top of the Middlesex Colts Association North Area U17 Division 1.

Middlesex Colts Association North Area U15 Division 2

Bessborough U15A v West Harrow (20 overs)
Bessborough won by 6 wickets
21/6/2012

Bessborough U15 kept their place at the top of table thanks to a comfortable 6-wicket win against Headstone Manor park neighbours West Harrow.

Bessborough won the toss and elected to bat first on a damp wicket. Saahil Vora (41) and Dillon Maloney (24) batted well and shared a first wicket stand of 58 in 7 overs. Vora in particular played some wonderful shots during his innings, including three sixes.

Rishav Shah (47 not out) came in to bat in the 11th over after the fall of the second wicket and batted with confidence and paced his innings really well. He was unlucky not to reach a deserved half-century, but ran out of overs as Bessborough finished on 152 for 4 after the full 20 overs.

That total was far too challenging for West Harrow who did their best to keep up with the run rate with quick singles, but paid the price with five run outs as they were all out for 69 in 14 overs. Leg-spinner Maloney was the pick of the Bessborough bowlers with two wickets for 6 runs.
