END OF SEASON EVENTS
By Alex Irani
Chaps,
As the season is fast drawing to a close and the inclement weather is fading away time to inform you of the end of season plans that we are having down the Borough:
Saturday 25th August: Sarge says farewell
Our former chairman and chief boozer Colin Horsley is bidding farwell and moving onto pastures new, why? we don't have a clue but its a great excuse to have a few jars. Head down to the club after saturday's fixture and give Sarge the send off his service to the club deserves.
Sunday 2nd September: Lydney visit the Borough
After the past 30 years of finishing off our west country tour in Lydney the boys from Gloucester are now visiting us. A game during the afternoon then a few beers with the boys in the evening, they've been fantastic hosts for us over the past few years so its time to repay the favour.
Saturday 8th September: Fish 'n' chips and a quiz
At the start of what has been a relatively good season we began with a quiz so we are going to round up the league season by finishing with a quiz. Fish and chips included in the price and hopefully a Borough member can win for the final time this season.
Saturday 15th September: Seniors vs Colts
Anyone fed up of how the colts go on about how well they bowled in their 4 over spell? Well now is the time for them to put up or shutup as the annual game between the two takes place. After the game the Borough's favourite WAG Kathryn Edmands celebrates her 30th Birthday so toast her into the rest of her life.
Saturday 6th October: Bessborough vs Headstone Manor - The Bar Olympics
