Based in the leafy North West London of Harrow at their picturesque Headstone Manor ground, Bessborough CC have been serving the local community for the last 104 years and a long and the club are looking forward to a long a rosy future. The club currently has four sides on Saturday that all compete in various Middlesex Leagues, we also have one Sunday side which plays a mixture of Friendly and League cricket.

James Wheeler who joined the club as an 8-year old in 1989 and has represented every side from their Under 10s to their Saturday First Eleven said that the club are on the look out for players of all abilities and backgrounds. ‘We are a fun loving club that always encourages the recruitment of new players and we have a range of sides of all abilities’. ‘Whether you’re a seasoned first team player who has drifted away from the game in recent seasons or whether you just want to play some social cricket, Bessborough is the club for you’.

If weekends are a struggle, Bessborough formed their own Twenty20 side in 2012 ‘The Bessborough Barbarians’ who play friendlies throughout the summer on Tuesdays and Thursdays against local clubs and companies. It has taken off so much that the ‘Barbarians’ now play in a Navy and Burgundy Twenty20 kit.

Off the field the club has a vibrant social season with the bar open every Tuesday evening during the winter and every day during the summer. Also various social events such as quizzes, disco’s and themed evenings during the season mean Bessborough is a great place to play. The club enters a team in a winter darts League.

Junior players are also welcome to join our award winning Colts system which has won numerous National and Regional honours in the last 20 years. Former England batsman Mark Ramprakash came through our junior ranks before joining Middlesex.
