Ramps Awarded MBE

RAMPS AWARDED MBE

Mark Ramprakash, the former Middlesex, Surrey and England batsman was awarded an MBE for services to cricket in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours list. Ramps, a former product of our youth system received the award after a professional playing career which lasted 25 years and saw him score a total of 50,651 runs in all competitions.

It has been a memorable few weeks for Ramps who last month returned to his first county Middlesex as Batting Coach for the new season. He is also currently busy as a TV pundit on Sky Sports winter coverage of cricket from all over the world.

Everybody at Bessborough Cricket Club would like to congratulate ‘Our Ramps’ on a richly deserved MBE and wish him the best of luck with his new career.
