WEATHER HALTS BESSBOROUGH PROMOTION CHARGE
Bessborough First Eleven slipped further behind the promotion places as they were subjected to a very early postponement against Old Lyonians.
To compound the surprise a mere 500 yards down the road the Second Eleven played a 92 over match against Kenton slumping to a disappointing defeat. Having won the toss and elected to field the Borough restricted Kenton to a gettable 199 in 49 overs, Kibreeth Rameez and Vivek Patel taking three wickets a piece.
However, despite taking 30 off the first three overs Kenton immediately took pace off the ball and wickets fell at regular intervals eventually culminating in Bessborough falling 37 short of their target.
The third eleven miserably failed to chase 99 but the Fourth Eleven provided some cheer to an otherwise glum day by beating Isleworth Wanderers by 7 wickets, Rajan Modha passing 50 and Sam Hawes adding a classy 32.
