RUN FAT BOY RUN
By Sherrick Chavda

Hiya,

This Sunday just gone, I successfully completed the Bath Half marathon…even though I left my right hip on the 6th mile and my left calf on the 10th

I ran on behalf of an amazing charity called Jamie’s Farm.  They exist to transform the lives of vulnerable children in challenging urban schools, by providing a unique combination of ‘farming, family and therapy’ through a short stay residential and follow up programme.  They aim to re-engage children with educational life, and enable them to fulfill their potential in school and the wider social setting.

As a lot of you remember, at the age of 12 I was 12 stone with size 12 feet, talk about being socially and physically awkward.  For me it was the love of sport that helped transform my life and the people at Jamie’s Farm do the same for the kids on their programme… encouraging them to try something new to help them achieve their full potential.

Needless to say it was an amazing weekend. I got to spend time at the farm and even witnessed the birth of a baby lamb (which you can see footage of on my Instagram account) within 30 mins of arriving!

There is still time to donate to this fantastic charity...https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/sherrickchavda

Appreciate all the support and feeling fighting fit for the 2015 season!
