BARBARIANS RECORDS TUMBLE
By James Wheeler

The Barbarians ended a run of four consecutive defeats with a win against Northwood Town on Thursday evening at Headstone Manor. The 197 scored off their 20 overs is the highest score made by the Barbarians since the midweek Twenty20 side began playing friendlies in 2007. The 197 beat the 191 scored by The Babarians against West Harrow just 2 weeks ago.

The star of the show was 20-year-old opening batsman Rajan Modha (pictured) who's 104 is the first ever Barbarians hundred and he reached the milestone in the final over of the innings by hitting a magnificent six.

Modha is in a rich vein of form as he is currently the leading runscorer at the club having struck 430 runs in 13 innings this season at an average of 35.83. In his 13 innings this season he has struck 2 centuries and 2 half centuries. If you go back further, Modha has struck all three of his senior centuries since August last year.

Hopefully both The Barbarians and Rajan can continue this form for the rest of the summer.
