Simon joined the Borough in 2013 with his brother-in-law Ray Conboy, with the pair keen to play some good competitive and social cricket. The pair were both looking to get back into the game after a number of years away.
Simon had not played any kind of cricket in almost 20 years, but he took very little time to shake off the cobwebs and show his class having played Regional cricket back in his home country of New Zealand. A strong aggressive top order bat, Si looks to score all over the ground and he looks very well suited to Twenty20 cricket. He is very good and nudging good balls into gaps for 1s and 2s and is a strong scorer all around the wicket.
In the field he is especially good close to the wicket and has an excellent pair of hands.
