Role: Right Handed Middle Order Batsman
Nickname: Bails
Bails has been a fixture of the club for the past decade initially joining the club as a colt before progressing to senior cricket. He started off as a medium pace bowler, before becoming a genuine all-rounder and he is now finally settled as a middle order bat for the second and third elevens, he does however sometimes open in Twenty20 cricket.
He is an excellent timer of the ball who is very strong through the offside and prefers the ball coming on. He has scored vitals runs for the club’s second eleven in recent seasons under former captain Richard Edmands. He is also a more than useful fielder.
Bails is a cracking laugh off the field and can often be seen at the bar being the life and soul of the club after the cricket has long finished.
