SNEHAAN SMASHES MAIDEN CENTURY
By James Wheeler

The first Bessborough hundred of the season was scored by our Under 13 captain Snehaan Das on Tuesday evening against Harrow Town at Headstone Manor. The highly talented youngster struck his maiden hundred in front of a bumper crowd after he won the toss and bravely decided to bat in difficult conditions.

A promising start between Das and his fellow opening batsman Thikakshan Thaylan was curtailed when Thaylan was run out for 8 of 18 balls. Gugan Muralitharan joined his captain at the crease and the pair put on a hundred partnership with strokeplay all around the ground. Das who has been in brilliant form this summer ended the innings with 105 not out from just 67 balls striking 13 fours and 3 sixes.  Muralitharan offered good support scoring a run a ball 22 as our Under 13s finished their 20 overs with 155 runs for the loss of only one wicket.

Harrow Town were never really in the hunt as they reached 103-8 off their 20 overs with Davin Pindoria the pick of the bowlers picking up 2-15 from 3 overs as our Under 13s clinched a 52 run victory.

Snehaan has had a terrific start to the summer. He has scored 247 runs in six innings for our Under 13s being dismissed only once. He also made his debut for the seniors last weekend representing Ian Ridley’s third eleven in their defeat against Winchmore Hill.
