Player of the Month - April-May 2016
09 Jun 2016
BESSBOROUGHCC.COM PLAYER OF THE MONTH - APRIL & MAY
By James Wheeler
Bessboroughcc.com is delighted to announce that allrounder
Kibreeth Rameez
is the first Player of the Month for the 2016 season with his performances in April and May. Rameez grabbed the opportunity and faith shown in him by club captain
Rohan Karkhanis
in scoring back to back half centuries against Osterley and Brentham for our first eleven.
Overall he scored 192 runs in five innings in April and May, a tally that was only bettered by
Adil Parker
(196) who had one more innings. He was not out twice in his five innings which gave him a more than healthy average of 64. He is also bowled some useful spells for the first eleven picking up five wickets while offering our first eleven some decent control. Also along with
Sherrick Chavda
, Kibby took the joint most catches for the club in the opening weeks of the season, claiming five catches.
Running Kibby close was Third Eleven captain
Ian Ridley
who scored 183 runs at an average of 46 including two half centuries. Ridders also picked up 15 wickets in the opening weeks of the campaign and count himself unlucky not to win the award.
Other honourable mentions go to Second Eleven vice-captain Adil Parker who led the club in terms of runs in April and May scoring 196 runs with one half century. Parker also has retaken the gloves for the second eleven and put in some excellent early season displays behind the stumps.
