Bessborough U15 B side beat table-topping Harrow B last Thursday (28 June) by 63 runs.

With both teams starting the game with just 10 players, Bessborough won the toss and elected to bat. Jack Graham Hovell (29) and Ravi Vyas (27) top scored for the Borough as the team made 125-9 from the full 20 overs.

Harrow’s cause was not helped by injuries occurring in the field and only six batsmen were fit enough to take to the crease when it was time for their innings to start. Neil Kiritharn (3-10) and Dominic Baxter (2-9) helped restrict Harrow to a final score of 62-6 after 18.1 overs.

Meanwhile, OMT were unable to field a team so they conceded the match giving Bessborough U15 A the full points needed to move to the top of the Middlesex Colts Association North Area U15 Division 2.

On Sunday (1 July), Bessborough U10s won a high-scoring encounter against Lohana by 14 runs.

Batting first, good performances by Nash Maloney, Snehaan Das and Ryan Vyas helped Bessborough to a challenging total of 282 for 3.

Lohana gamely tried to reach that total, but ultimately fell short on 268-6.

Bessborough's U17s are through to the final of the M.C.A. Chairman's Cup and are awaiting the winners of the semi-final between GB Sports and Ickenham.
