PARKER AND OUT
By James Wheeler
Second Eleven vice-captain
Adil Parker
(pictured) is set for a spell on the sidelines after suffering ankle injury on Saturday while batting against league leaders
Southgate
. Parker was opening the batting alongside his captain and great mate
Phil Bush
when he landed badly while running between the wickets and damaged his right ankle. After a lengthy delay, Adil was helped from the field and he took no further part as the Second Eleven pushed Southgate into the final overs but narrowly lost.
Adil has had a good season scoring over 250 runs and claiming seven victims behind the stumps. Hopefully he be back on the field in the not so distant future. Also sidelined is
Alex Irani
, with a fractured wrist looks set to rule him out for the rest of the season.
